Adjusting and converting RAW images
The RAW image allows the original data from the camera's CCD to be saved with no loss of image quality. With ZoomBrowser EX, you can save RAW images as JPEG or high-quality 16-bit TIFF images in exactly the colors and image quality you want by modifying the image conversion settings and adjusting the tone curve. ZoomBrowser EX also simplifies the whole process by providing a fast preview display that you can used to adjust the quality as you go, making RAW image photography a breeze.

Creating panorama shots
ZoomBrowser EX provides an easy-to-use panorama image composition function that you can use to create sweeping panorama images of scenery by joining together images shot using the Stitch Assist function on a Canon digital camera. As well as wide-angle panorama shots, you can also use this function to join a number of separate photos together to make a single composite image.

Controlling the camera and taking pictures from your PC
If you want a really convenient and effective way to take indoor table top photos, use the Remote Shooting function. This function allows you to change the camera settings and release the shutter from your PC. And pictures you take this way are saved directly to your PC, so you can enlarge and view your shots immediately on the PC screen, making this function perfect for techniques such as macro photography. For specialist applications such as fixed-point observation, there is an Interval Timer Shooting function that will take a specified number of consecutive shots at a set intervals.

Selecting the start-up image and shutter sound for your camera
Canon digital cameras feature a My Camera function that allows you to customize your camera by changing the camera's start-up image, start-up sound and shutter sound. ZoomBrowser EX not only makes it really easy to specify your My Camera settings, it even lets you create your own original camera operation sounds.

Uploading images from your PC to the camera
ZoomBrowser EX also lets you use your digital camera as a portable photo viewer. Once you have downloaded images to your PC, you can use ZoomBrowser EX to save them back onto the camera's memory card. By organizing your images on the PC and then saving just your favorites on the camera, you can take them along to your friends' places and play them back as a slide show on the TV or print them using direct printing.
